Neumeister Bar-Am is delighted to announce the next chapter of Der Würfel. After 15 successfully commissioned Würfel projects in Berlin the gallery is launching Würfel TLV.
In keeping with the concept of the 80cm3, white-cube vitrine, artists are invited to respond to the space. Würfel TLV is installed in the Beit Romano building in downtown Tel Aviv, hosted by TEDER.FM
Alona Rodeh (Israel, b. 1979), based in Berlin, Germany is the first artist to exhibit in Würfel TLV. She works in a range of media including sound, sculpture and installation and has received multiple grants, residencies and prizes: including recently; Project Funding Visual Art Berlin Senat (Projektförderung Bildende Kunst) and Nordisk Kunstnarsenter Dale artist residency both 2017; KUNSTrePUBLIK and ZK/U Artist Placement Residency at the Berlin Fire Brigade 2016-2017; Israel Lottery Council for Culture and Arts grant recipient and Künstlerhaus Bethanien artist residency, all 2013-2014.
Solo exhibitions and large scale commissions include; a public commission by Tel Aviv Municipality (2016); Safe and Sound (Evolutions) at Rosenfeld Gallery, Tel Aviv and Grimmuseum, Berlin (both 2015); Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art (curator: Aya Lurie); Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin (both 2014); Helena Rubinstein Pavilion, Tel Aviv Museum (curator: Hadas Maor); CCA Tel Aviv (both 2013); ARCH2 (Faculty of Architecture, University of Manitoba) and off-site project of Plug In ICA, Winnipeg (curator: Neil Minuk) (both 2012).
